• App Version: Version of StreamDownloader you're using (e.g., "1.2.0")
• Timestamp: Date and hour when you start a download (hour-level precision only)
• Feature Usage: Whether you're using Pro features
• Quality Preference: Video quality selected (e.g., 720p, 1080p)

1.2 What We Do NOT Collect

We value your privacy. We explicitly do NOT collect:

• ❌ URLs you download
• ❌ File paths or filenames
• ❌ Personal information (name, email, etc.)
• ❌ IP addresses (temporarily logged by AWS but not stored)
• ❌ User tracking IDs or device identifiers
• ❌ Any content or data from videos you download

2. How We Use This Information

The anonymous usage statistics we collect are used solely to:

• Understand which platforms to prioritize for bug fixes and features
• Measure feature adoption and usage patterns
• Improve app performance and user experience
• Make informed decisions about future development

We do NOT:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Use data for advertising
• Share data with anyone except as described in this policy
• Track individual users or their behavior

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Where Data is Stored

Anonymous usage statistics are stored on:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the US-East-1 region
• AWS DynamoDB (secure, encrypted database)

3.2 Data Retention

All anonymous usage data is automatically deleted after 1 year using DynamoDB's Time-To-Live (TTL) feature.

3.3 Security Measures

• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
• AWS services are configured with industry-standard security practices
• No personal identifiers are stored, making data breaches less impactful
• API rate limiting prevents abuse

4. License Information

If you purchase a Pro license, we store:

• License key (encrypted)
• Activation status
• Device fingerprint (for license binding)

This information is stored locally on your device and on our license server to prevent license key sharing.

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Amazon Web Services (AWS)

We use AWS for hosting our backend services. AWS may temporarily log IP addresses and request metadata for security and operational purposes. See AWS Privacy Policy.

5.2 Stripe (Payment Processing)

If you purchase a Pro license, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card information. See Stripe Privacy Policy.

6. Opt-Out

You can opt-out of anonymous usage statistics at any time:

1. Open StreamDownloader
2. Go to File → Settings
3. Uncheck "Send anonymous usage statistics"
4. Click OK

Opting out stops all telemetry data collection immediately. This does not affect app functionality.

7. GDPR Compliance

For users in the European Union:

• Legal Basis: Legitimate interest (app improvement)
• Data Minimization: We collect only minimal, anonymous data
• Right to Object: You can opt-out in app settings
• Data Retention: Automatic deletion after 1 year
• No Consent Required: Data is anonymous and non-personal

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

For California residents:

• No Personal Information Sold: We do not sell any data
• Right to Opt-Out: Available in app settings
• Data We Collect: Anonymous usage statistics only (no personal info)
